Jim Brunzell def. Ted Dibiase** (DQ) - Dibiase was so unconcerned about Brunzell, he didn't even bother to offer him money... he was wrong! A chair shot caused the bell, but the Million Dollar Man was definitely in trouble anyway.
Jushin Liger def. Nikolai Volkoff* (Liger Bomb) - Squash.. Volkoff never knew what hit'em!
Larry Sweeney* def. Road Warrior Hawk (DQ) Sweeney took a fall to sell a shot with a foreign object he had in his pocket... and Hawk fell for it, chasing him outside and out of the referees line of site for just long enough.
RVD** def. Tim Donst*** (5 Star Frog Splash) - Best match so far... back and forth action that could have gone either way!
Semi-Finals
Jushin Liger*** def. Jim Brunzell**** (Fisherman's Buster) - Brunzell shows he can hang with even one of the best cruiserweights in the world... great match that went 17 minutes. Liger finally put him down after using everything but the kitchen sink at him. Liger was impressed, and shook hands with his fallen foe after the match
RVD** def. Larry Sweeney (Split Legged Moonsault)
Sweeney was actually in control, but when RVD kicked out of a 2nd pin attempt, he tried his foreign object trick again, but this time the referee caught him, and RVD took advantage of the breather to take over.
3rd place Match
Jim Brunzell def. Larry Sweeney* (Killer Dropkick)
The fans were really behind the exhausted Brunzell... who dug deep and was able to take out the TexArkana Champion.
Finals
RVD def. Jushin Liger** (Standing Moonsault)
The crowd was buzzing at the start... could RVD be the 1st repeat WARTS champ? Would Liger put on another epic show? The match was a bit disappointing, as RVD just ran right through him, to become the 1st ever repeat WARTS champion!
