Are any of you huge board game fans? I have around 200 board games and am actually hosting a board game convention in my town on August 11th. We have gotten commitment from Rio Grande Games of them sending us 6 brand new games to demo and keep for future use! I have several people confirmed and possibly another board game group from my state coming as well as some miniature players and RPG Players! I am so stoked. So what are some of your favorite games:
While I don't necessarily have favorites as I try almost any game, Right now in our house Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot and Ticket To Ride are hot games!

Not a ton of time for many games in my house currently, but my wife and I love playing backgammon and Othello.
We also play Zombie Dice when we get a chance.
We have a bunch of games that have not been touched yet, including the Walking Dead game & The Big Bang Theory.
I have been trying to get her into MTG and even made her a deck, but just not a ton of interest in playing on my wife's part. I promised to make her another deck (a red/green wolf deck - which will be the second one I have made in a week), but we will see.

Oh yeah, Strat-o-Matic baseball...yeah, my dad and I play that a LOT (not nearly enough since my daughter was born, but life gets in the way)

Strat is great. I played a game of Blood Bowl yesterday for my league and won with the score 2-1 when my opponent forfeited after I killed his 4th guy of the game. My Record in our League is 4 Wins, 3 Draws and 0 Losses

Recommend me some board games. We raised some money at our convention to buy more games to build a game library.

Axis and Allies, Conquest of the Empire, Balderdash, Scruples, The Farming Game (which is WAY funner than it sounds, lol), Stratego, Risk
If I had all those games, I would be set, lol.. am on the slow track to trying to reclaim them all....

Recommend me some board games. We raised some money at our convention to buy more games to build a game library. The hot new Eurogame is Hawaii... it's a really good resource management type game. If you like Ticket to Ride, you might want to check out Union Pacific (another train game, but with a bit of stock stuff thrown in)... or Power Grid. There's the classics, like Settlers, Carcasonne, St. Petersburg, Stone Age. If you like MTG, I'd suggest Dominion, or Ascension.. both are deck building type games, but instead of it being 'the guy who bought the most packs has the best deck', you build the deck during the game. Both have lots of expansions, but you can get the original game for less than two magic decks and try it out.

You'll definitely like Dominion too if you like Ascension... very similar (but without combat).

I've only played Thunderstone online... cool design, seems a little broken balance wise, though.
